Autumn nails tutorial is a must this season. It’s nice to don something reminiscent of what the environment actually looks like.
Don’t you just love how Autumn seems to be a promising time? It’s a season that connotes to be a preparation for something festive and celebratory. Apart from that, this is the time of the year when I think everyone is all glammed up via the inspiration of not only the New York Fashion Week but also by the coolness of the wind. Yes, everybody seems to be amping up their fashion game.
Aside from fashion and makeup, our nails should also reflect the colors of this time. In this post, I’ll share with you an Autumn nails tutorial appropriate for any age. Check this out!

When you think of Autumn, what colors do you associate it with? Of course, there’s orange, brown and green. It’s the mixture of these colors that reminds us that it’s Fall. Just take a look at the plants, trees, or even the decorations–there you’ll see these hues. There’s no mistaking it for any other season, right?
I especially have an inclination to an Autumn nails tutorial because I am so in love with this season. Like most of my posts, this is very easy to follow and do. You wouldn’t even break a sweat doing this. I guarantee that! Ready to make this project, lovelies?
Here’s what to prepare for this autumn nails tutorial:
Step 1: Paint white base
Start this autumn nails by coating your nails with a base coat. This should always, always be done! Remember, the base coat protects and maintains the health of the nails. After this, add two to three coats of white nail polish.
Step 2: Do the petals
Blend the orange nail polish with a very small amount of light brown nail polish. You will use this mix to create the petals. Just make sure the color still has a very strong orange hue with a hint of brown. Use this mixture to paint the petals of your autumn nail art. You can have as many flowers in a nail as you like but for this illustration, I just made two. You don’t have to be too artsy to achieve this.
Step 3: Create the center
With the petals in place, it’s now time to draw the center. To do this, mix the green and black nail polishes. Then add a little bit of brown to the mixture. The colors need not blend perfectly. It’s okay for each color to retain their respective shade. Mixing the colors may be intimidating but don’t fret. I just placed the colors together–that easy. Use the mixture to make the center of the flower.
Step 4: Make leaves
To add more depth to the design, add leaves. Mix the green nail polish with a little bit of black. When I say a little bit, I mean super tiny! Again, there’s no need to perfectly blend both colors, the unblended strokes are part of the design. This is to add dimension to the Autumn nails art. Draw a leaf here and there. They don’t have to look the same, so no pressure!
Step 5: Finish with top coat
For the fifth and final step, take your top coat and apply it to your finished autumn nails. This final layer does not only protect the design as this also gives it a glossy finish. This probably my favorite part of the entire process since I get to see just how lovely the nails have become. So pretty, right?
