Swimming team members Missy Franklin and Cierra Runge also showed off their Olympic-ready nail art on Instagram! Looks like their patriotic spirit helped them nab gold medals for their events!

Fellow swimmer Kathleen Baker probably was more excited for her silver medal in the backstroke event than anything else. Her US flag nail art pretty much gave away her excitement for the biggest sporting event in the world.

Olympic veteran Jeanette Ottesens from Denmark also got into the Summer Olympics 2016 nail art trend. To support her home country, she got simple white nails with the famous rings and the Danish flag as accents. She also added the Brazilian flag to represent the sporting event’s venue!

Italian sprinter Maria Benedicta Chigbolu also followed the white nail base color trend for her patriotic nails. She had her country’s flag painted on her four fingers and the Olympic rings on her thumb ahead of her event this weekend.

Italian swimmer Silvia Di Pietro wasn’t able to land in the top 3 in the 100m freestyle swimming competitions she joined. However, her nail art game is still very much on point and ready for the upcoming 50m freestyle event this weekend.

British sprint kayaker Lani Belcher put a twist on her nail art. Instead of the usual colors of the Union Jack, she painted her nails orange. She did put the flag and the Olympic rings on her ring fingers, to show her excitement for her upcoming competition.
