Dry or Brittle Nails
Having dry or brittle nails may be due to a lot of things. You could be using too much nail polish remover or cleaning chemicals. In some cases, they may be because of a fungal infection.
However, there are some cases that brittle nails may be due to a lack of Vitamin A, C or B. In other cases, it may due to an iodine deficiency or hypothyroidism.
Discoloration
If you have yellow, green, or dark nails, don’t cover them up with nail polish. There might just be something wrong with your body.
Nails may just be because of nail polish. Yellow or green may be indicative of a fungal infection. White discoloration of your nails may be a result of trauma or infection.
However, if you have dark discolorations, make an appointment with your doctor right away. According to Mercola, this may be a symptom of the deadly skin cancer, melanoma.
