Birthday celebrations are always fun and exciting! But if you’re low on a budget, don’t fret because you can still celebrate your birthday with this super fun nail art tutorial.
To begin with, make sure you coat your nails with a base. This will ensure your nail art lasts longer. It also protects your nails from getting stained.
Here’s a list of what you’ll need for this birthday nail art:
- Clear base coat
- White nail polish
- Sparkle nail polish
- Nail polish in colors of your choice
- Red nail polish
- Makeup sponge
- Detail brush
- Fast-drying coat
Step 1 Birthday Nail Art: Fun Gradient
Coat your nail with a white polish. Then, apply liquid latex around your nails. On a makeup sponge, apply three coats of your choice of colored nail polish. Dab the sponge onto your nail several times to get that gradient texture. Remove the liquid latex. Layer with a sparkle nail polish and finish off with a fast-drying coat.
Step 2 Birthday Nail Art: Cupcake
Apply glitter polish on your nail. Paint your choice of color onto half of your nail. Top that with thin strokes to mimic a cupcake lining. Using a white nail polish, draw a half circle on top of the first image to imitate the cupcake frosting. Fill in that half circle with white polish. Place the glitter polish on the white frosting. Add sprinkles using your choice of colored nailed polish and finish with a heart on top. Layer with a fast-drying coat.
Step 3 Birthday Nail Art: Candles
Apply two thin coats of your choice of color. Draw three evenly spaced thin lines in your choice of colored polish. These lines will mimic the body of the candle. Using a black polish, draw a wick. Add an orange flame on top of the wick. Add glitters to the lines, and finish off with fast-drying coat.
Step 4 Birthday Nail Art: Balloons
Paint your nail with white polish then top off with glittery polish. Make balloon strings using a black nail polish. Draw circles on top of the strings using colors of your choice. Add a small white line on the upper part of the circle to give your balloon a cartoon-like look. Finish with a fast-drying top coat.
You can mix and match these ideas or simply choose one design to use for all of your nails. See? It’s so easy and very much fun to do.
