Have Adorable Watermelon Nails With This Easy Nail Art Design
Summer time makes you want to try on some festive fruity nails. While you’re planning on having a lot of beach trips this summer, why not include one fruity nail art to go? Find out how to have watermelon nails below that can be as bright and warm as this season.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bundle Monster Poli Peel nail barrier
- OPI I’m Sooo Swamped! (Green)
- OPI Mad for Madness Sake (Pink)
- OPI Let’s Be Friends! (Light pink)
- China Glaze Fairy Dust (fine holographic shimmer)
- HK Girl Topcoat
- OPI Base Coat
- teardrop rhinestones
Step 1: Base Coat
First of all, apply the base coat on all of your nails.
Step 2: Base Color
Apply a single coat of light pink polish.
Step 3: Nail Barrier
Since gradients can be pretty messy, apply nail barrier around the sides of your nail.
Step 4: Color Gradient
Take your wedge makeup sponge, and apply 2 bands of nail polish. Pink, and light pink.
Step 5: The DAP- Dab, Apply, Peel Off
Carefully dab and apply a thin layer of the color gradient onto your nail. Let it dry a bit and then dab again to have a second layer of the gradient. Then, Peel off the nail barrier.
Step 6: Green French Tip
Next is add a thin french tip with the green nail polish.
Tip: You can use a nail vinyl to help guide you with your french tip.
Step 7: Glitter Polish
Apply a thin layer of your glitter polish on your nail.
Step 8: The Rhinestones
For a unique look, add tear drop rhinestones to represent watermelon seeds on your design.
Step 9: Top Coat
To seal in the rhinestones and set the entire look, apply top coat.
And voila! You’re all set and done!
