Color Block Nail Art Tutorial: Find Out How With These Quick & Easy Steps
Have Bright Pastel Colors Painted On Your Nails This Summer
If you are a fan of pastel colors like me, then this one’s definitely for you! Color-blocking is similar to stripes though not all have the same “stripey” designs. Other Color-blocking styles have another way of putting different solid colors together side by side. This is pretty easy to do on your nails. In fact, this is one of my favorite designs. For newbie nail artists, let me assure you that it’s fun to do this colorful block nail art! It doesn’t require a lot of materials. Let’s begin now, shall we?
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- OPI – Natural Nail Base Coat
- essie – Gel Setter Top Coat
- Silver Striping Tape
- LVX – Femme
- LVX – Fleur
- Aurora Cosmetics – Ahu O Laka
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Base Coat
Always start with base coat to your nails. Though it functions as a foundation to your nails, it also protects nail plates from being stained.
Step 2: Base Color
Then apply the light pink polish as your base color.
Step 3: Striping Tape
Take a couple pieces of striping tape onto your nail.
Step 4: Lavender Pink and Blue Polish
Fill in the middle of your nail with the lavender pink polish. Fill in the top area with a blue polish.
Step 5: The Clean-up
Carefully remove the tape right after to create the cleanest lines. Then grab a couple more striping tape and place them exactly where the previous pieces were. Use some clippers to trim.
Step 6: Top Coat
Finally, apply top coat to help protect and seal your manicure. Give it a nice glossy finish.
