DIY Nail Polish Organizer | 5 Designs You Can Replicate

1. Wall Rack

|

If your room is spacious enough and could use a little decoration, how about making a wall rack for your nail polishes? What’s amazing about this project is it lightens up your room. Imagine a wall overflowing with colors thanks to your wide selection of polishes! It’s really up to you how big, long, and how many shelves you want for your rack.

What you need:

  • Backboard
  • 2 sideboards
  • 6-8 boards for shelves (depends on your preference)
  • Wood glue
  • Nails & hammer
  • Glue gun
  • High gloss wood paint
  • Pencil and measuring materials
  • Wall mounts

2. Nail Polish Shelf

|

If your collection is starting to grow exponentially, then a bigger nail polish organizer is what you need. This shelf should be more than enough for you to store all your polishes and it’s safe to say it can store more than a hundred of it. So if you want something more ambitious, try this one out. Here’s the full tutorial.

We all want our stuff to be easy to carry and lightweight, and this organizer is as portable as it gets. Primarily made of foam board, you will be able to place this rack anywhere without difficulty. You can also cover it up with whatever cover you want or even a duct tape with design, but this step is entirely optional. Here’s the entire tutorial.

What you need:

  • Two pieces of foam board
  • Ruler
  • Glue sticks
  • Hot glue gun
  • Exacto knife
  • Pencil
  • Decorative duct tape (optional)

4. Spice Rack Organizer

|

This spice rack organizer is ideal for beginners as it’s compact and easy to do. All you need is to attach the wood pieces together, spray paint it with the color of your choosing, and drill it in your wall. Here’s the full tutorial and it should only take you around 20 minutes to finish.

5. Carton Rack

I’m Too Busy! Can I Just Buy One?

|

Of course! We got you covered in this department, too! Try to look for the following at your local thrift shops and your problem should be fixed in no time!

Display Rack

|

If you’re looking for a quick and easy fix for your nail polish dilemma, then this is your best bet. You can look for one in Amazon or find these at your nearest Target or Walmart. Look for the one that fits your need. You can buy a small one that is totally dedicated to your polishes or a bigger one if you want a single container for your beauty products.

Storage Boxes

|

If you really want to keep spending to a minimum, storage boxes should do just fine. These boxes should only cost around $3 at your local store. If you don’t mind keeping two or three of these under your bed or table, then, by all means, go with these.

Metal Rack

|

This multi-purpose container will definitely be a good substitute to DIY nail polish organizers simply because of the material it’s made of. Metal is durable and is sure to withstand the weight of all your nail polishes. Get one that is stainless so it won’t rust, plus, you hardly have to maintain it.
