The reason why I chose this design is simply because of the it’s color combination. It screams radiance, it’s so feminine and really chic. This is all I wanted for this season, and it’s not too much on the nails. So let’s get started!

Get Easily Inspired With This Fun Nautical Sailor Nail Art Tutorial
I have been following HannahRoxNails on youtube for quite some time now. She is extremely talented, plus she does her freehand nail job without any sweat. For us non-professional nail artists, it’s always a struggle trying to perfect even the simplest nail design.
But anyways, like what I’ve mentioned in my previous post, you don’t have to be really talented to be able to achieve a perfect nail job. Just a few practices, and you’ll get the hang of it!
Today, I’m going to show you another inspiring nail design— A nautical nail art tutorial! If you are going for a summer cruise, this mani is perfect for your vacay. But if you ain’t sailing this summer, then it is okay. You can still wear this nail art anyway.
So are you excited? Let’s proceed now, shall we?
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Nail Art Brush
- OPI – Natural Nail Base Coat
- essie – Gel Setter Top Coat
- OPI – Matte Top Coat
- Formula X ‘White Matter’
- LVX – Monaco
- ZOYA – Hannah
- Striping Tape
- Sally Hansen – Nail Art Studs
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Base Coat
Apply base coat to all of your nails.
Step 2: White & Red
Apply white nail polish to your pointer, middle, and pinky nails; and red nail polish to your ring and thumb nails.
Step 3: Anchor
With a brush and some acrylic white paint, draw an anchor on your nail.
P.S. She does her freehand so flawlessly!
Step 4: Striping Tape
Apply pieces of striping tape to your nail.
Step 5: Blue Stripes
Using a blue polish, apply it over the taped part of the nail.
Tip:
Be sure to remove the tape right after to ensure that you will have the cleanest lines.
Step 6: Red Stripe
Place two pieces of tapes again above the blue stripes for the red stripe.
Step 7: Studs
Apply studs on where you want them to go.
Tip: Before applying the studs, add a little amount of top coat.
Step 8: Glossy Top Coat
Apply a glossy top coat.
Tip: This top coat will help smooth out the entire nails.
Step 9: Matte Top Coat
Apply the matte top coat to give it a perfect matte finish.
Tip: This is totally optional, you can leave it glossy, it looks good either way!
And that’s it!
